Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Our Streets Speak! Your work literally changes the lives of underprivileged, unhoused, and everyone in between.Send us a message explaining what position/type of role you are volunteering for, why you want to work with us (such as a cover letter), either a resume or a description of your previous work. If you have none, that's okay! Explain to us what and why you are interested in this field and we provide training for all positions.if you need any letters or forms filled out for work or school if this is an obligation, please coordinate with me at our support emailAll positions will receive First Aid, Naloxone, and Stimulate Overdose Training. Some positions will receive Outreach Worker Certifications, Mental health and addictions training, as well as group training on how to communicate using active listening. We will also go over my own communication style but also how to properly communicate with our clients, learn the codes we use, set boundaries, and to answer any of your questions.A few volunteer positions are virtual, others are onsite. You can choose the amount of hours you'd like to work per week, just please commit to those hours as we don't want anyone left unheard.Please keep in mind some positions with direct contact may require a valid background check for vulnerable populations.Please send us a message explaining which positions you are interested in, the days and hours you can work, And why you want to volunteer for Our Streets Speak. If you can send a cover letter and resume that would be highly appreciated. However, if this is your first position in this field just let us know what interests you about our non-profit and why you want to volunteer with us.We can't wait to connect with you!
